Datça's winter is at its most beautiful when the almond trees bloom. In mid-February the whole peninsula is wrapped in pink and white, and the Almond Blossom Festival organised by the Datça Municipality begins.
When is the festival? The 2026 festival takes place on 12-15 February in central Datça, around Cumhuriyet Square. The events are free and suitable for all ages.
What's on the program? Nature tours and walks through the almond groves, local produce and almond stalls, wild-herb dishes and keşkek from Datça's cuisine, live concerts and folk dances, talks and panels, exhibitions, workshops and activities for children. For photography lovers, the blossoming groves offer unforgettable frames.
Where to stay The festival area is very close to the centre; for those who want to join the events by day and unwind in nature by evening, the quiet stays up on the hills are ideal.
